About The Company
At VEED, our mission is to make video creation accessible to anyone.
No hard-to-use equipment, painful learning curve, or keeping track of multiple subscriptions to take your ideas from record → share. With VEED, you can do this with a single tool.
In just a few years, we've gone from one user to millions. From no revenue to $45M+ ARR. From bootstrapped to backed by Sequoia, one of the biggest VC firms in the world. From a team of two to a team of 180+. And we're seeking more talented, motivated and entrepreneurial individuals to join our growing team.
Where And How We Work
At VEED we are hybrid, enabling teams and individuals to design their day and integrate work and life.
For our London, Amsterdam, and Barcelona-based teammates, we ask that you spend 3 days a week in the office during your first 6 months — it's the best way to connect, collaborate, and get to know your team. After that, you'll shift to 1 day a week in the office, with flexibility to choose the day that suits you best.
About The Role
You'll be the operational and analytical backbone of the Product organization, owning the work that doesn't sit cleanly with traditional Product Managers, but is critical to running an efficient, high-performing organisation.
This role is a senior individual contributor position with broad scope, high autonomy, and direct exposure to product leadership.
What You'll Do
Your work breaks down roughly as:
Product strategy & operations (~60%)
Run high-impact strategic and operational projects for the product org. Examples include:
Researching and implementing ways to help engineering ship faster
Running cost-efficiency initiatives and identifying overspend
Defining and optimising budgets for AI training and infrastructure cost
Drive cross-functional programs that don't clearly belong to any single team
Commercial & analytical work (~25%)
Lead or support negotiations with API and technology providers
Partner closely with Product Analytics to ensure data directly informs product strategy, prioritization and decisions
Analyze pricing strategies, unit economics, and cost structures
Challenge assumptions using data and commercial reasoning
Partner with Finance and Product to evaluate trade-offs and ROI
Strategic support to the CPO (~15%)
Act as a thought partner to the CPO on strategic planning
Support board materials and leadership-level decision making
Take on ambiguous, high-leverage work to help the product org run better
This role is designed for a senior individual contributor who drives leverage through strategy, operations, and decision-making — not through direct product ownership or people management.
You're a sparring partner who challenges assumptions, closes gaps, and gets important things done.
What Success Looks Like
After 6-12 months, you'll have:
Helped the product org move faster or operate more efficiently in measurable ways
Identified and driven meaningful cost or margin improvements
Built trust as a go-to problem solver for product leadership
What You Bring
Experience operating in a fast-moving start-up or scale-up environment
Background in top-tier management consulting, investment banking, investing (VC/PE), or in-house strategy, finance, or BizOps roles (preferred)
Strong analytical judgment — able to challenge assumptions, frame the right questions, and use data to drive decisions
A natural sense of ownership, proactively identifying gaps and driving work forward without waiting for direction
Solid understanding of how software products are built, shipped, and scaled
Strong finance fundamentals, including P&L, unit economics, and cost structures
Commercial mindset — comfortable weighing ROI, trade-offs, and long-term impact
Comfort operating in ambiguity and non-traditional, evolving scopes
Preference for senior individual contributor roles that create leverage across teams rather than through formal people management
Resourcefulness in navigating contracts, legal, and commercial topics, even without deep prior specialization
