Material Planning Analyst

Salary: £15.00 - £22.99p/h

We're looking for a Material Planning Analyst to join a world-class manufacturing team based in Peterlee. This role plays a vital part in ensuring materials flow efficiently and accurately to support the production of high-quality machinery used in industries across the globe—from mining to construction.

What you’ll be doing
* Ensuring timely material delivery by collaborating with suppliers and internal teams
* Managing material planning through MRP and supplier collaboration tools
* Resolving supply issues to maintain production flow and material availability
* Tracking supplier performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
* Aligning planning parameters with inventory systems to maintain accuracy and integrity
* Providing clear and effective communication with both internal stakeholders and external partners
What we’re looking for
* Strong background in material planning and scheduling
* Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
* Confident working with MRP systems and inventory planning tools
* Skilled in data analysis and root-cause problem-solving
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Excel and other relevant software
* Able to work independently and within a team environment
Desirable qualifications and experience
* APICS or equivalent supply chain certification
* Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
* Knowledge of Six Sigma principles and methodology
