Salary: £168.80 – £270.98 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm

This specialist provision supports children and young people aged 11–16 with complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Many students have experienced disrupted education and benefit from a highly personalised, therapeutic approach to learning.

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher to join the team from September. You will deliver English and Maths to small groups, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants, while playing a key role in students’ emotional and academic development.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering differentiated English and Maths lessons tailored to individual needs
* Building positive, trusting relationships with students who may display challenging behaviours
* Supporting emotional regulation, engagement and resilience
* Creating a safe, consistent and therapeutic learning environment
* Working collaboratively with SEN, pastoral and therapy teams to meet EHCP targets
* Using a restorative and trauma-informed approach to behaviour management

What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching experience in SEN settings
* Experience working with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour (desirable but not essential)
* A calm, patient and consistent approach to behaviour support
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
* A compassionate, resilient and flexible mindset
