Electrician (Lighting Projects) Location: Birmingham Contract: Permanent Salary: £36,000pa - £40,000pa Working Pattern: Mon - Thu, 10-hour night shifts, ~ 80% nightwork Package: Company van, Night premiums, Overtime enhancements, Full training Overview: Working with a leading nationwide technical services provider delivering lighting and electrical solutions across major retail, industrial, commercial and government sites. This role is highly site-based with the majority of work carried out overnight across multiple UK locations. Travel, accommodation and subsistence are fully covered, with strong opportunities to increase earnings through uplifts, overtime and fixed-price project bonuses. Key Responsibilities: Install high-quality LED lighting and electrical systems Work from electrical drawings, schematics and circuit diagrams Support minor electrical works and assist with test & inspection (training provided) Maintain excellent workmanship with zero rework Work collaboratively with Project Managers, subcontractors and site teams Follow all H&S procedures and operate safely at all times Complete night shifts (Mon-Thu), including stay-away work when required Maintain company van, tools and materials responsibly Skills & Qualifications: Fully qualified Electrician (18th Edition) LED lighting experience (advantageous but not essential) 2391 Test & Inspection - desirable (training available) SSSTS, IPAF, PASMA - desirable (training available) Comfortable with night shifts, travel and stay-away work Able to work at heights (up to 3m) and lift up to 25kg Strong communication skills and customer focus Full UK driving licence Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently Why Join Work on high-profile projects with major clients Strong career progression and multi-skill training Join a respected, nationwide technical services organisation Earnings & Overtime Structure Night premium: 35% uplift per night shift Overtime: x1.33 beyond standard working pattern Sundays: x2 Fixed-price project options: additional earning potential Most Electricians exceed base salary through night uplift, overtime, Sunday double time and fixed-price assignments.
