Your new role
In this role, you will lead teams to deliverplex actuarial and insurance projects, providing valuable insights and collaborating with cross‑functional colleagues. You will present findings and rmendations to senior executives and boards, while shaping market‑relevant propositions and contributing to thought leadership that supports business development.
You’ll play a key role in preparing client proposals and building strong internal and external relationships. Alongside project delivery, you’ll foster a positive team culture through coaching, mentoring and effective supervision, and support essential team operations including performance feedback, recruitment, financial management, and learning and development.
What you'll need to succeed
They are looking for candidates who are excited by the opportunity to help them develop and grow a team of high-performing consultants that can apply actuarial approaches through amercial lens and are excited about helping their clients improve the way they operate.
You’ll thrive on being a numerate, rational thinker with a passion for this field and have a very strong attention to detail. They're looking for a qualified actuary (General Insurance) with significant experience in specialty markets (such as Lloyd’s) or UK retail insurance, gained within an insurer or leading consultancy.
You’ll bring strong technical expertise across at least two areas, such as reserving, audit support, Solvency II or IFRS 17, stochastic risk assessment, process improvement, business planning, or internal model review.
Proven experience managing projects and teams is essential, along with excellentmunication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships. You should befortable coaching junior colleagues, demonstratingmercial awareness, and engaging confidently in discussions about emerging market trends and their impact on clients.
What you'll get in return
A highlypetitive base salary of c. £90k to £160k (depending on experience and level (M or SM)), coupled with an excellent benefits package.
