Main duties of the job
St. Bartholomew's Hospital is looking to recruit a Healthcare Support Worker (HCA) Band 3 who will work in Outpaitients. This post is open to individuals who are both experienced Healthcare Support Workers as well as attracting individuals who are new to care. You will receive support to complete the Band 3 competencies and progress into a Band 3 role within 6 months upon successful completion of all required competencies; until then, you will be placed at a Band 2 salary
The outpatient team moved to a brand new purpose built outpatient department designed to meet specific outpatient requirements for patients and staff. The clinics are based mainly around cardiology, specialist cardiology, oncology, endocrine and diabetes. The clinics are operated between a team of specialist doctors, Clinical Nurse Specialists, physiotherapists, dieticians, pharmacist and clinical psychologist. Successful candidates will be professionally and clinically supported within the larger outpatient nursing team.
