CassonX is excited to be the exclusive recruiter for this growing Global Macro Hedge Fund, which has expanded to $1bn AUM within just a few years. The fund's leadership team includes experienced professionals from leading alternative strategy asset managers. As they build their team, they are seeking their first dedicated Operations resource.
We are looking for candidates with Fund Accounting experience from a Hedge Fund or Administrator, familiar with various hedge fund structures. While a qualified accountant is preferred, it is not essential. Candidates should have supported hedge funds from a fund accounting perspective and be confident in presenting to senior stakeholders. Knowledge of exotic and structured derivatives, especially Options, Exotic Options, and Rates, is highly advantageous. Experience with trade lifecycles is also beneficial, or a willingness to learn.
This role offers broad exposure to Fund Accounting processes and support for wider middle office and operations functions. Responsibilities include:
* Troubleshooting pricing and valuation issues, maintaining valuation policies
* Reviewing fund administrators' NAV calculations and estimates
* Maintaining shadow NAV and reporting
* Calculating and instructing Share Class hedges, explaining return divergences
* Assisting with annual fund audits and financial statement reviews
* Supporting investor tax reporting
Additional operations tasks include:
* Daily fund transaction, position, and cash reconciliations
* Transaction matching and confirmation for listed & OTC derivatives
* Liaising with traders and Prime Brokers to resolve booking errors and settlement issues
* New product setup, testing, and static data management
* Monitoring counterparty exposure, collateral, and risk management
* Optimizing fund financing terms
* Maintaining policies and procedures, system testing, and process improvements
