An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrician to join one of the UK's leading Facilities Management companies, covering York and surrounding areas.
This role will primarily involve working on prestigious National Trust sites, so experience working within protected or heritage buildings would be highly advantageous. Knowledge of MICC (mineral insulated copper clad) cabling is also desirable.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and hold relevant qualifications, including NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent) and the 18th Edition as a minimum.
The role involves working as part of a team across a number of sites, carrying out a range of planned and reactive building maintenance duties. The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality electrical (and basic mechanical) maintenance while ensuring compliance with strict site and preservation standards.
Duties:
1. Support other technicians with both major and minor maintenance works
2. Complete all PPMs and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales, ensuring accurate completion of all required documentation
3. Prioritise and complete minor maintenance and repair works efficiently
4. Ensure all tools and equipment are available, maintained, and fit for purpose
