Teaching Assistant
Prospero Teaching is proud to be supporting a nurturing and inclusive Primary school in Wiltshire, in the recruitment of a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils from Year 1-6.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, progress, and wellbeing. You will assist with delivering learning activities and help create a positive and focused classroom environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting individual pupils and small groups within the classroom
2. Assisting teachers with planning and delivering learning activities
3. Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils’ social development
4. Helping to maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
5. Building positive relationships with pupils to support their confidence and engagement
Contract Details:
6. Location: Wiltshire (near Salisbury)
7. Position: Teaching Assistant – Primary School
8. Start Date: ASAP
9. Contract Type: Permanent or long-term supply (with potential for permanent placement)
10. Working Hours: 8:30am –, Monday to Friday
11. Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Requirements:
16. Experience working with children in a school or similar environment
17. A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting pupils
18. Up-to-date Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
19. Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
20. Two professional child-related references
