We are looking for a Website Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, performance, and strategic development of our website and ensure it remains a high-performing, user-friendly platform, optimised to support business goals, drive engagement, and enhance the customer journey and parent experience.
Role Overview
As Website Manager for Kids Planet, you will be responsible for the management, performance, and development of the website, driving optimisation initiatives alongside the Digital Optimisation Manager and Marketing Performance Lead, managing nursery page content, and owning both technical and content-driven SEO strategies.
You’ll also play a pivotal role in the development of a new website, support A/B testing and CRO, and lead ongoing improvements to UX, performance, and content.
Key Responsibilities
* Website Management & Development
Oversee the day-to-day management of the Kids Planet website, ensuring optimal performance, accessibility, and functionality.
Ensure the website is up-to-date, secure, and functioning smoothly at all times.
Perform regular content updates, bug fixes, and plugin/module management.
Monitor site speed, performance, and uptime.
Drive the scope and rollout of a new website, working alongside external agencies and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate with developers for larger updates, integrations, or technical troubleshooting
Manage HubSpot and WordPress CMS page creation and optimise landing pages for lead generation and user experience.
* CRO & Optimisation
Work with the Digital Optimisation Manager to improve CRO, user journeys and increasing key website conversions.
Design and manage A/B and multivariate tests to inform data driven improvements.
Identify and implement opportunities for UX, UI, and content optimisation across the site.
* SEO
Develop and implement an effective on-page and off-page SEO strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Conduct regular SEO audits, technical reviews, and competitor analysis.
Oversee local SEO performance, including managing and improving Google My Business listings across nursery locations and supporting the Digital Marketing Executive to maintain upkeep and consistency on-page.
* Analytics & Reporting
Monitor, analyse, and report on website performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Search Console.
Track and report on SEO performance (ranking, traffic, keyword performance), providing actionable recommendations.
Present insights to internal teams, supporting wider marketing and commercial decision making.
* Reviews & Reputation
Support the management and performance of Trustpilot and Google My Business (GMB) listings, ensuring consistent brand reputation and encouraging reviews.
Monitor sentiment and trends, flagging issues or opportunities to the wider team.
Security & Compliance:
Maintain security standards including regular backups, updates, and SSL certificates.
Ensure the site complies with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Requirements
Essential
Proven experience in website management in a fast-paced environment, ideally within B2C or multi-location businesses.
Hands-on experience with CMS platforms particularly WordPress and HubSpot.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
Strong understanding of SEO (on-page and off-page) and experience improving organic search performance.
Demonstrable experience with CRO and A/B testing tools.
Advanced use of analytics and performance monitoring tools.
Strong use of web analytics and SEO data (e.g. GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs). Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail with a user-centric mindset.
Experience with graphic or web design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Figma) is a plus.
Desirable
Experience working on new website builds or migrations.
Knowledge of early years, childcare, or education sectors.
Familiarity with Trustpilot, GMB, and local SEO strategy.
