QC Analyst Hereford
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am 4:30pm | Friday, 8:00am 1:00pm
Pay Rate: £13.66 per hour
Contract: Temporary ongoing with the potential to become permanent
We are currently recruiting for a QC Analyst to join a busy and growing quality control team based in Hereford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with laboratory or quality control experience looking for a long-term position with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out routine analytical testing and organoleptic assessment of raw materials
2. Issue certificates of analysis for products
3. Communicate test results with Production, Development, and Purchasing teams
4. Support Production with technical and quality-related queries
5. Maintain accurate laboratory and computer records
6. Maintain, check, and calibrate laboratory equipment
7. Ensure all laboratory work is completed in line with health & safety and good laboratory practices
8. Support food safety, quality, integrity, and legal compliance standards
9. Review batch production and laboratory control records
10. Assist with QC release of packed products
11. Approve or reject raw materials, intermediates, and finished products where required
