Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting an exciting business in their search for a Procurement Assistant based on their Houghton-Le-Spring site.
If you’re organised, detail-driven and keen to make an impact, this role offers the chance to play a key part in a centralised procurement function, working closely with colleagues across development, construction and operations.
The Role & Responsibilities

Providing professional support to the Procurement Controller and wider business, helping manage costs, reduce risk, and secure best value from suppliers and contractors

Managing procurement systems, ensuring data is accurate, compliant, and supports real-time reporting
*
Coordinating supplier due diligence, contracts and variations, with a focus on quality, ESG and compliance
*
Supporting tendering exercises, producing accurate reports and KPIs, and maintaining supplier records to a high standard
*
Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business and external partners
Desirable Skills & Experience
*
Previous experience within a Procurement or Purchasing position such as a Procurement Assistant or Procurement Apprentice role
*
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, with excellent numeracy and attention to detail
*
Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with a collaborative approach
*
Experience in professional services or construction procurement (desirable)
*
CIPS membership or recognised business qualification (desirable)
