Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:50pm
Worker Type:Hybrid
Salary: Grade C -Starting Salary is £25,583 (Level one) rising to £26,403 (Level three)

About the role:

As an Admin Support Officer within Nottingham City Council’s Housing Services, you will provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Access Team and Access & Resolution Officers. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate data handling, maintaining records, and supporting legal compliance processes that uphold tenant safety and statutory obligations, including gas regulations, Awaab’s Law, and Electrical Safety Regulations.

You will manage appointment referrals, update tracking systems, prepare evidence for legal submissions, and produce reports using Microsoft packages, particularly Excel. The position involves coordinating workloads, scheduling appointments, and handling a high volume of cases across multiple service areas while delivering excellent customer care.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in IT systems are key, as you will support performance reporting, manage inbox queries, assist with complaints, and maintain absence records. This is a varied and rewarding role that contributes directly to the safety and wellbeing of tenants across Nottingham City Council’s housing stock.


About you:

The ideal candidate will have:

* Proven ability of providing a comprehensive administration service to a good standard of numeracy and literacy both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to use computer software programmes to ensure validity of data and input relevant data.
* Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Ability to develop and present written or verbal information in a clear and concise manner.
* National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Administration or relevant proven experience.
* Ability to demonstrate effective communication face to face, in meetings and on the telephone when dealing with a wide range of customers including tenants and colleagues.
