In this dynamic, multi-skilled role, you’ll join a highly skilled maintenance team at our brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton. Your mission? To deliver engineering maintenance support to all manufacturing assets and equipment. Our cutting-edge technologies include:
* Automated equipment, including robots
* Automated welding and joining systems
* Laser joining systems
* Automated conveyors
* Complex tooling, fixturing, and lifting equipment
Whether you’re an electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, or a multiskilled engineer, we provide comprehensive training and support to enhance your qualifications and experience. You’ll have access to some of the industry’s best training programs, including Siemens Training, Kuka Robotics Training, and ABB Robotics Training. Plus, you’ll work in one of the cleanest and most modern factories in the area, where a positive work environment thrives.
As part of our team, you’ll be working on machinery that builds Battery Packs, Electric Drive Units, and other electrification technologies. Join us in the exciting world of electric vehicles and help JLR continue to lead in this innovative field!
What to Expect
As a valued member of the Maintenance team, your responsibilities will include:
* Being the first response to breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime through safe working practices
* Conducting PM checks and running checks, ensuring completion on schedule
* Implementing permanent corrective actions for recurring issues
* Carrying out weekend/shutdown work and delivering projects as per business requirements
* Embracing training opportunities as required by the business
What You'll Need
To thrive in this role, you’ll need a blend of ambition and skills, including:
* A relevant Level 3 NVQ/BTEC/City and Guilds in Engineering
* Significant experience in a manufacturing environment
* Experience with CNC Machining Centres, conveyor systems, and auxiliary equipment
* Good working knowledge of Siemens PLCs and electrical fault-finding techniques
