The role With a robust pipeline of interesting civil engineering and public realm design projects, the Highways Design Engineer will join the Highways and Infrastructure team and lead on the delivery of various highways design projects. -- You will also be tasked with managing multiple projects and leading delivery teams on schemes including town centre redevelopments, new cycle ways, civic squares, junction improvements and carriageway maintenance schemes to name a few. Your day-to-day tasks will include: * Coordinating and cooperating with the Contractor throughout the design and build. * Design drainage systems, including culverts, storm water management, and erosion control measures. * Review and approve design drawings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements and standards. * Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools to create accurate and efficient designs. * Assisting the delivery team to ensure project work is technically correct * Managing pr...
