Main Areas of Responsibility
We seek a qualified teacher with subject leadership experience to join Harris Invictus Academy Croydon as Coordinator of Art, Photography, and DT. You will join an open and supportive team to establish outstanding provision within Art and Design, including all programmes, systems, and structures aligned with the academy’s vision and values, aiming for outstanding teaching and learning.
Qualifications & Experience
* Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, with additional qualifications and evidence of ongoing professional development.
* Minimum of three years' teaching experience, preferably including KS5 and in diverse urban schools.
* Understanding of effective teaching and learning theories and practices.
* Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
* Experience delivering high-quality INSET and using coaching for professional development.
* Proven ability to lead, support, and manage individuals and teams to high performance.
* Track record of raising achievement as a subject leader or classroom practitioner.
* Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and review processes to improve teaching quality.
* Good ICT skills and experience with integrating new technologies to enhance achievement.
* Recent involvement in innovative curriculum development.
* Ideas for integrating Language, Literacy, and Numeracy across the curriculum to raise standards.
* Experience embedding strategies for improving teaching and learning and managing change effectively.
