Salary - £40000 p/a

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially driven Groups Manager to oversee group bookings and ensure seamless coordination from inquiry to departure. In this role, you will manage client relationships, maximize revenue opportunities, and work closely with operational teams to deliver exceptional group experiences.

What we offer

* £40000.00 per annum
* Temporary (Maternity cover), full-time contract (40hrs per week), start date mid-August

We host outstanding group stays, from corporate bookings to leisure travel and special interest groups. As a Groups Manager, you will play a key role in securing group business, managing logistics, and ensuring a high level of service throughout the guest journey.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

* Managing the full group booking process, from initial inquiry to post-departure follow-up.
* Developing strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and group organizers to drive repeat business.
* Working closely with the sales and revenue teams to maximize group bookings and optimize occupancy.
* Liaising with the front office, food and beverage, and operations teams to ensure all group requirements are met.
* Preparing contracts, proposals, and group agreements in line with hotel policies.
* Conducting site visits and meetings with prospective clients to showcase the hotel’s group facilities.
* Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for group sales.
* Ensuring all group bookings comply with hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and service standards.
* Handling client requests, resolving any issues promptly, and delivering outstanding customer satisfaction.
* The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details, and trusting.

The core skills and experience required to succeed:

* Previous experience in group sales, reservations, or events management within a hotel or hospitality environment.
* Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify revenue opportunities and drive sales.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a strong attention to detail.
* Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering exceptional service.
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure business and maximize profitability.
* Ability to manage multiple group bookings simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reservation or CRM systems.

You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
