Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our catering services run smoothly and efficiently. This position involves assisting with food preparation and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
This job is Monday to Friday with optional weekend overtime when available.
5am start with finish time depending on hours required. Minimum of 2 hours a day. Maximum of 10 hours a day.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for catering events.
* Ensure that all food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including equipment and utensils.
* Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service delivery.
* Provide excellent guest services by addressing any inquiries or requests promptly.
Skills
* Proven experience in hospitality or catering environments is preferred.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work well within a team.
* A background in culinary arts or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
