To provide professional and clinical strategic leadership advice on the development of patient services. To actively contribute to the development and review of patient services plans & policies. To actively contribute to the development of the overall strategic vision for the pharmacy service, including strategy development, service planning, budgeting and financial management as part of outpatient service developments and transformation initiatives within pharmacy and across the Trust. To actively participate in theLocal Faculty Group, representing Patient Services, to ensure that training and mentoring of junior pharmacists is in-line with local and national education and training initiatives. To actively contribute to Pharmacy Quality Governance meetings and PSIRF panels, representing patient services, and to take the lead in developing local action plans and learning responses for outpatient pharmacy services. To lead on identifying risks in relation to clinical screening and final checking of medication in the outpatient pharmacy setting and develop associated mitigations and strategies aimed at risk reduction/ elimination.
