We are looking for a hardworking, caring, compassionate and empathetic Nursing Support Worker to come and join our enthusiastic and dedicated team.

If you’re passionate about delivering the best care possible, have excellent communication skills and are willing to work as part of a committed and skilled multi-disciplinary team then we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for following care plans and recording all personally generated observations and documenting care given in individual’s notes.

If you have previous experience working within a healthcare setting and / or healthcare qualifications, we are very keen to hear from you.

You will be undertaking a vital role in maintaining quality care and be part in the recovery of our patients.

You will be carrying out several assigned clinical and care tasks related with direct patient care which can have a truly remarkable impact.

Key duties include recording of Daily Observations and how patients present themselves, supporting patients to have a structured day, escorting patients within the community, Vital Signs, Manual Handling, Infection Prevention and Control, Safeguarding, Hydration & Nutrition checks.

You will need to have:

6. Level 3 NVQ in mental health/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Equivalent

Experience

7. Experience of working within a relevant heath or social care environment, providing direct patient care.

Desirable criteria

8. Experience of working with patient groups relevant to area of practice.

9. Good communication skills – verbal, non-verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and sensitively.
10. Ability to work with minimum supervision to a high standard
11. Ability to keep calm in stressful situations.
12. Ability to demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach.
13. Organisational skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise own and others workload efficiently.
14. Ability to use technology to undertake the role, for example Microsoft Office, virtual platforms such TEAMS.
15. Physically able to carry out the duties of the role, including lifting, assisting with mobility, implementing restraint (if required) and performing other manual tasks.
