Specialist Mental Health Nurse/Practitioner

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Nurse/Practitioner to join the Dorset Pain Management Service. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working with patients with long‑term conditions, but if not please do reach out anyway and have a chat as full training and support will be provided.
This is a part‑time post to cover the East of the county, with team bases in Poole Community Clinic and 11 Shelley Road, Boscombe. The role involves hybrid working and face‑to‑face clinics.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which is covered by the Trust. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of undergoing a new check.
Main duties of the job
The Dorset Pain Management Service is a vibrant service, consisting of an inter‑professional team that employs modernised clinical practice to help people coping with chronic, non‑malignant pain lead meaningful lives.
Our pan‑Dorset service offers individual interventions and group programmes in various locations across the county; these are delivered by two teams. The staff mixture includes pain consultants, psychologists, specialist physiotherapists, pain and mental health nurses, occupational therapists, therapy assistants, trainees from various departments and administrative support.
This post holder will work as part of the team supporting patients with long‑term persistent pain and a mental health diagnosis. They will also provide support and advice to colleagues and maintain/develop links with mental health services in East Dorset.
Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse/Practitioner
* Evidence of post‑qualification CPD
Experience
* Experience of working in an MDT setting
* Experience of working with long‑term health conditions
* Experience of working with people experiencing persistent pain
* Experience of developing links with other organisations
