Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Tayside People and Culture Directorate HR Business Team for a HR Business Lead to provide professional HR leadership to our Business Partners across NHS Tayside.
About the role
The People and Culture Directorate provide a comprehensive range of HR services to our workforce of approximately 14,000 employees, covering locations across Angus, Dundee and Perth and Kinross, working across Acute, Corporate Services and Health and Social Care Partnership settings.
The HR Business Lead will be responsible for leading a team of HR Advisers to provide best practice HR approaches to our business partners across several operational areas, contributing to a positive workplace culture. You will oversee HR case management activity in these operational areas, and you will work in partnership with managers, partnership representatives and recognised trade unions to promote an effective employee relations environment which maximises staff engagement, in the planning and delivery of services.
What we are looking for
As a flexible and forward-thinking individual, you will have a pro‑active and problem‑solving approach and will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, underpinned by excellent organisational skills.
Ideally you will be educated to degree level and be an Associate or Chartered member of the CIPD or working towards this qualification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience, and you will have practical experience of working within an HR generalist role or equivalent.
You will be required to comply with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland throughout your employment.
