Overview
Through this 24 month scheme, you will work on projects across the UK, gaining a wide range of experiences in planning and development. The UK Planning & Development team collaborates across the CBRE business, offering opportunities to learn about the wider real estate business. The Graduate Planning pathway supports Cognate (RTPI Accredited Town Planning) and Non Cognate (Undergraduate, including those who may study towards a Town Planning Masters through a day release programme).
Locations
* Birmingham & London – fully qualified Chartered Town Planner (RTPI member) upon completion
* Manchester – fully qualified Chartered Town Planner (RTPI member) with recognition as part of a team named in the 2022 Insider ‘Planning Consultancy Team of the Year’

Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 + benefits (depending on location)
What You’ll Do
* Participate in planning reviews and interpret planning policies and legislation
* Produce due diligence reports to assess constraints and opportunities on projects
* Carry out site appraisals to analyse site conditions, suitability, and potential development constraints against planning policy and legislation
* Assist in formulating strategies on planning submissions, ensuring compliance with planning policies and regulations
* Collaborate with a diverse team on a variety of projects, contributing to strategic planning and project management
* Monitor and report on progress of projects and planning applications, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met
* Engage with stakeholders including clients, local authorities and the community to gather input
* Support policy frameworks development, regeneration frameworks and policy consultation representations
* Gain experience in complex planning applications, development promotion, viability, regeneration and economics
* Provide trusted planning advice to domestic and international clients to deliver outcomes that drive value
* In-office presence is expected on working days
What You’ll Need
* Passion for real estate, the built environment and regeneration
* Self-motivated with good written, numerate and verbal communication skills
* Strong work ethic, proactive with a positive attitude
* Attention to detail, accuracy and good time management
* Cognate applicants: RTPI accredited degree or RTPI accredited masters conversion (minimum 2:1)
* Non-Cognate applicants: any degree with a plan to study towards an RTPI/RICS accredited masters conversion via a funded day release programme
* Good MS Office skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
* Right to work in the UK by start of employment
* Valid driving licence (regional offices only) – desirable
