An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated person to join our Facilities Management Team at Hampshire County Council.
The Role:

What you’ll do:
1. Be the first point of contact for those arriving, arranging for visitors to be collected, or directed to meeting rooms
2. Assist with enquires from staff, visitors and contractors
3. Carry out Health and Safety checks in the building
4. Sort post and deliveries
5. Assist in completing statutory checks in our buildings and accurately recording information
6. Respond to telephone calls in a professional manner
The role is based in Totton Hub, Southampton with a requirement to provide cover on occasion at our other sites; such as Rookwood Hub in Eastleigh, with reception cover or completion of Health and Safety Checks.
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a polite, friendly and flexible individual to join our established Facilities Management team, who have the responsibility for welcoming both staff and members of the public. Being part of a professional team, you will deliver excellent “ Front of House" customer service to staff and visitors.
In your role you will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, be flexible and adaptable in work style and support your colleagues and peers- have tact. You will need strong communication and IT skills to adapt to various scenarios, with flexibility required to support other Facilities Management Teams during demanding peak periods.
Due to the duties involved in this role you will need to be able to fulfil the moving/handling requirements as detailed in the job description and person specification. The working week is 37 hours, 08.30- 17.00 Monday to Thursday, and 08.30- 16.30 on Friday.
Training will be provided to assist you in this role including First Aid and Manual Handling.
