Day Shift Engineer — £48,000-£50,000 + Overtime + Excellent Benefits. Commutable from Peterborough, Wisbech, Ely, Chatteris, Downham Market, March and surrounding areas. A well-established and growing food processing manufacturer is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of a Day Shift Engineer. The Role
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and processing equipment
* Support production teams to minimise downtime and improve reliability
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure high safety standards
The Ideal Candidate
* Time-served engineer with a recognised engineering qualification
* Strong mechanical or electrical background (multi-skilled advantageous)
* Experience working in manufacturing, food, or FMCG environments
* Proactive, hands-on approach with strong fault-finding skills
* A team player with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
