Overview
Reed Education are working with a range of SEND schools who are seeking an exceptional SEND leader to provide strategic leadership across three highly specialist schools in Surrey. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of education, therapy and care for children and young people with complex needs.
The schools operate across four sites in Redhill, Smallfield, Caterham and Effingham, delivering a highly integrated, multidisciplinary approach. Together, the schools support pupils with autism, learning disabilities and additional complex needs to achieve their full potential.
The role
As Regional Principal, you will be accountable for the performance, quality, financial sustainability and future growth of all three schools. You will provide strong, visible leadership and work closely with senior leadership teams and multidisciplinary professionals to deliver high-quality education, therapeutic provision and care aligned with the broader organisational vision.
This is a highly influential leadership role, combining educational excellence with operational, commercial and people leadership. You will foster a culture of high expectations, collaboration and inclusion, ensuring that every pupil receives the support they need to thrive.
Key responsibilities
* Provide clear strategic leadership and direction across all sites, embedding a shared vision for staff, pupils and families
* Lead school improvement planning, ensuring provision and outcomes meet or exceed all regulatory and quality standards
* Inspire, support and challenge senior leaders, with a strong focus on staff development, wellbeing and retention
* Oversee the delivery of a holistic, evidence-based curriculum supported by strong assessment practices and high-quality teaching
* Ensure robust safeguarding, health & safety and regulatory compliance across all schools
* Manage budgets and resources effectively, balancing financial sustainability with quality and planned growth
* Build strong and positive relationships with parents, carers, local authorities, commissioners and community partners
* Contribute to wider organisational initiatives, collaboration and service development
Who we are looking for
You will be a credible, values-driven and experienced senior leader with a proven track record within the education sector. You will bring strong experience of leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting children and young people with complex SEND, including autism and learning disabilities.
You will also have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and MPQH
* A strong understanding of SEND, safeguarding and relevant legislation
* Proven ability to lead improvement and manage change effectively
* Sound commercial and financial management expertise
* Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
* Resilience, professionalism and a genuine commitment to inclusive education
