DT Technician
* Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (Until 22/05/2026)
* Location: Blackburn
* Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
We are currently seeking a skilled DT Technician to support our specialist Design and Technology (DT) classrooms. Safety is our top priority, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing DT environments safely and effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Set up and maintain DT equipment and materials.
* Ensure all safety protocols are followed in the DT classroom.
* Assist teachers and students during DT lessons.
* Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
* Perform routine checks and maintenance on DT machinery and tools.
* Support students in using DT equipment safely and correctly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a DT Technician or similar role.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a school DT environment.
* Relevant qualifications in Design and Technology or a related field.
* Excellent organizational and technical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to instruct and support students effectively.
