My client is a high‑frequency prop trading firm founded in 1998, seeking a Trading Operations Engineer to join one of its trading teams.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring high‑volume live trading and portfolio risk
* Contributing to the automated trading operations codebase
* Managing ongoing projects with various support teams
* Coordinating software and hardware upgrades
* Applying programmatic solutions to scale and expand trading operations
* Resolving discrepancies with trading positions, broker statements, and internal applications
Requirements
* The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a related field, and a bachelor's degree
* Proficient scripting skills in Python and an intermediate understanding of a Linux environment
* Exceptional analytical abilities, strong communications skills, and experience making data‑driven strategic decisions
* Strong working knowledge of PNL and Risk reporting applications
* Familiarity with current market structure and regulatory developments
* Ability to analyze and optimize order entry and market data exchange connectivity
* Ability to comprehend and diagnose problems in complex real‑time systems with minimal guidance
* Capacity to work equally well independently and as a member of a team
* In‑depth understanding of trading technology and fluency in technical concepts
* Strong multitasking and context‑switching abilities across a diverse and fast‑paced environment
* Advanced problem‑solving abilities
