Salary: £32,850 to £48,050 (United Learning Pay structure)

Start Date: TBC

Plus R+R of upto £5,000 available for consideration

The classroom teacher is responsible for delivering learning in accordance with the programme designed by the head of Department, based on senior management strategy and national guidelines. Teachers are expected to work to the National Standards for teachers

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develops and prepares learning materials
2. Delivers learning
3. Monitors and assess performance
4. Reports progress against targets
5. Manages pupil behaviour and standards
6. Manages Health and Safety
7. Contributes towards department tasks
8. Is responsive to the School’s agreed policies
9. Contributes towards the work of project groups established to guide and monitor school development
10. Contributes towards the work of project groups established to guide and monitor school development
11. Provides guidance and advice to pupils on educational and social matters, on their further education and careers
12. Communicate and consult with outside agencies, parents or guardians as appropriate
13. Participates in directed meetings related to the curriculum, pastoral arrangements or administration of the school
14. Participates in staff development programmes as agreed with the Senior Management Team and colleagues
15. Keeps up to date with relevant initiatives and development in area of expertise.
16. Looks for and uses opportunities to support the development of the whole child through spiritual, moral, social and cultural activities
