Technical Sales Manager – Imaging & Detector Systems - £70,000 + 20% bonus
A growing specialist imaging and detector systems company is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to drive global sales, support customers with technical expertise, and help scale a high-performance product portfolio used across space, science, industrial, and advanced research markets.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical understanding (imaging, detectors, physics, engineering) and the commercial ambition to progress into a future leadership role.
The Role
* Grow global sales of imaging and detector products
* Advise customers on system performance (SNR, frame rate, detector choice, sensitivity)
* Build and manage an international distributor network
* Represent the company at conferences and customer meetings
* Feed market insight into engineering/R&D
* Improve documentation, specifications, and productisation
* Own CRM usage (Salesforce ideal) and analyse sales performance
* Support proposals, technical documentation, and pricing
About You
* Technical background in imaging, detector science, physics, engineering, or similar (degree/PhD a plus)
* Experience in technical sales or customer-facing scientific roles
* Experience in Space Imaging highly desirable
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Motivated, ambitious, and comfortable in a specialist, fast-paced environment
* Willingness to travel globally
