* Salary: £37,500 to £46,215 (Location Depending)
* Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
* Location: Canning Town, London
Role Overview
As a Functional Assessor, your main task will be to assess individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life. Drawing on your clinical expertise, you'll listen carefully, take medical histories, perform physical examinations, and produce concise, accurate reports for the DWP to determine benefit eligibility.
The role involves face-to-face and remote assessments, requiring sensitivity, compassion, and professionalism. You will have sufficient time for thorough assessments and will work independently within a multidisciplinary team, with support from our specialist recruiters during the application process.
Candidate Requirements
* Registered Nurse (General, Mental Health, or Learning Disability) with at least 12 months of recent broad-based post-registration experience
* Experience in functional assessment and clinical decision-making is advantageous
* Current registration with the NMC
* Understanding of clinical governance and customer service standards
* Excellent communication skills, adaptability, IT proficiency, and professional integrity
* Motivated, empathetic, and able to work independently and as part of a team
* Eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
