We are seeking a temporary, freelance, part-time Trainee Project Coordinator to develop skills across all aspects of project management while supporting the Project Manager.
Job Description
We seek a highly motivated individual to assist in delivering an exciting cultural heritage project in 2025. No prior experience is necessary as this is a trainee role; please share any transferable skills. Our aim is to help you grow in project management and/or the arts & culture sector with a small, passionate organization dedicated to exploring the heritage of electronic music through the arts. Familiarity with Delia Derbyshire's work and heritage is preferred, but expertise is not required—resources are available on YouTube and our channel.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the smooth operation of the project through administration, marketing, documentation, evaluation, and liaising with project partners and staff.
Fee: £6,300 (for 35 days at £180 per day), under a temporary freelance contract. A UTR (Unique Tax Reference) number is required for our Charity Commission audits.
Working hours: Approximately 0.5 to 1 day per week, increasing before DD Day in November, 8 hours per day (including breaks).
Location: Based in Manchester with the DD Day 2025 team, with some remote work.
Contract period: Week commencing 26 May 2025 to 30 January 2026.

Job Responsibilities
As Trainee Project Coordinator for the Delia Derbyshire Day 10th anniversary heritage project, you will:
* Coordinate with project staff, partners, venues, and volunteers
* Attend regular meetings with the Project Manager, both in person (Manchester city centre) and via phone/Zoom
* Assist with marketing efforts, including social media and mailing list updates
* Publish and maintain website content following NLHF guidelines for accessibility
* Support administrative tasks and daily project operations
* Contribute to project documentation and evaluation
