Overview

To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced nurse with a valid NMC PIN with either a formal Oncology qualification, SACT passport or inhouse Oncology training to administer SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) cannulation and venepuncture competency and an experience of administering all routes of SACT. You will display a high level of care and empathy to help our patients achieve their goals and regain their independence. You will be well-organised and comfortable managing your own workload and itinerary; basic IT skills are required. In addition, extensive travelling will be required between patients, so a full UK driving license and use of your own vehicle is essential.
Responsibilities
* Work at the forefront of our services, seeing Oncology patients within their homes, in Oncology mobile units or clinics (where area allows).
* Carry out bloods, toxicity assessments, IV chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy, pump disconnections, line care, IM/SC injections and related tasks.
* Display clinical excellence and provide 1-to-1 patient care with autonomy, while receiving support as part of the broader clinical team.
* Manage your own workload and calendar, traveling between patient sites as required.
* Engage with patients to ensure safe, effective treatment and patient comfort in line with company policies.
Qualifications
* Qualified nurse with a valid NMC PIN.
* Formal Oncology qualification, SACT passport or inhouse Oncology training to administer SACT.
* Competency in cannulation and venepuncture for SACT administration (and experience with all SACT routes).
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload; basic IT skills.
* Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle (extensive travel between patients).
