Overview

MCS Group are delighted to be seeking a proactive, commercially minded Business Development Manager to join a dynamic and growing software company with a global reach. This role is about building and nurturing a strong, targeted sales pipeline and passing qualified leads to the commercial and technical teams. The ideal Business Development Manager will play a critical part in the discovery and outreach strategy, with a focus on identifying buying intent and engaging new prospects in the US and UK markets. The successful Business Development Manager will support clients solve real world problems in sectors that span beyond alcohol regulation.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct discovery calls and lead generation with prospective clients in the US and GB.
* Strategically identify and qualify outbound leads with strong buying intent.
* Build and maintain a solid sales pipeline for handover to commercial and technical teams.
* Utilize CRM software to track, nurture, and report on leads.
* Engage in market outreach and stay informed about evolving global trade data.
* Collaborate with internal experts, developers, and consultants to align solutions with client needs.

Essential Skills & Experience

* 1-3 years' experience in SaaS/software sales or related B2B environments.
* Familiarity with CRM tools such as Sales Navigator, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar.
* Understanding of ERP systems.
* Strong communication and discovery call skills.
* Entrepreneurial mindset.
* Eager to learn complex, niche software solutions with real world application.
