Overview
Welding & Fabrication Instructor required to deliver and coordinate welding qualifications at a high-tech training facility. The role involves teaching, coaching and mentoring learners undertaking Welding qualifications. The candidate should be a time-served Welder / Fabricator and ideally hold a level 2 (or above) qualification in a Welding & Fabrication discipline. Training may be provided for the right candidate.
You will be based at a training centre in Grimsby and may be required to visit other centres in the Humberside region. A full UK driving license and use of your own car are required.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and coordinate the successful completion of welding qualifications delivered at the centre (classroom-based delivery).
* Train learners in line with awarding body standards toward agreed qualifications.
* Involve in teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking Welding qualifications.
* Travel to other centres as needed within the region.
Essential Experience
* Minimum 4 years’ relevant occupational experience as a time-served welder/fabricator.
* Good communication and presentation skills.
* Experience of working with young people.
Qualifications & Competencies
* Level 2 (or above) welding qualification.
* Knowledge of welding, pipe fitting, plating and sheet metal work.
* Assessor Qualification (A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent) – desirable.
* Teaching qualification – desirable.
* This position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance.
