We’relooking for a talented and creatively drivenin-houseVideographer & Editor to join The Podcast Guys®. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of a fast‑evolving industry, where podcasts and video podcastsare continuously redefining how stories are told and experienced.You’llplay a key part in shaping that evolution-crafting compelling visual content that brings branded podcasts to life across YouTube, social platforms, live events, and beyond.
With a current40/60 split between shooting and post‑production, this role offers a strong focus on editing while still giving you the opportunity to influence how content is captured. Working closely with Producers and collaborators, you’llhelp design and execute production setups that not only meet creative briefs but elevate them.
While podcasts are our core, our work often extends far beyond thesit downconversation. As a trusted content partner to our clients, we film globally across a wide range ofenvironments-from scientific labs to cinema roundtables with Roger Deakins, to capturing stories on the ground at New York’sClimate Week. The variety is part of the role, and no two projectsare ever the same.
From polished video podcastsand audio-first podcasts for platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts, to fast‑turnaround social clips and live event coverage, you’llbe responsible for delivering content that is engaging, agile, and aligned withbrandgoals.You’llalso support ad‑hoc productions-whetherthat’srunning remote recordings via Riverside or editing on the ground at conferences-thriving in an environment where adaptability and creative instinct are key.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Production and Planning
* Work closely with producers to understandtheir creative vision and create kit list requirements.
* Recceshootlocationstoidentifylighting/sound/camerasetupsand flag any issues with the Producer quickly.
* Organise packing/hire/transportation of all shoot kit to and from the office to the shoot location.
* Ensureall other ad‑hocpre‑production activities seta strong foundationfor successful shootsand edits.
Video Production
* LightingSet-Uppodcast capture, multi‑person interviews, and social capture across non‑studio settings.
* Camera Set‑up and operations-ensuring aperture, focus, colour profile, frame rate etcdelivers high qualityconsistentlook and feel.
* SoundSet‑up-be able to capture high qualityaudio via lapels, boom,dynamicmics and operateRodecasterpodcast mixers.
* DIT-Backup data from all shoots on location and back at office to ensuretimelydelivery topost productionteams.
* Unpack kit from all shoots, reporting any equipment problems and organising repairs or recommending new purchases.
* Exhibit excellent on‑set etiquette with production team members and clients.
Post‑Production and Editing
* Video& audioediting, sound design, colour grading, and the creation of platform‑specific assets.
* Ensure all projects, folders, and file naming conventions are followed in line with companypolicy&best practice.
* Work within branded templates & create subtitles and name straps within brand guidelines.
* Create engaging YouTube teaser trailers, with dynamic text, lowerthirdsand graphics.
* QC your own work thoroughly prior to sharing with producers for review.
* Master and archive all creative materialsin accordance withcompany policy and best practice.
Client and Team Collaboration
* Collaborate with producers and clients to align video content with their goals, tone, and branding.
* Support team members by sharing best practices and contributing to ideation sessions.
Trend Awareness and Knowledge Sharing
* Stay updated on video production trends, YouTube optimisation techniques, and digital storytelling practices.
* Share insights with the team during weekly knowledge‑sharing sessions.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience
* Demonstrated experience shooting and editing video content (long form and short form), with a portfolio that showcases your storytelling abilities and technical skills.
* Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail. No kit missing from shoot days or obvious editing errors!
* Strong understanding of the technical aspects of video production, including lighting, sound, and camera operation.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and flag potential issues with the producers and wider team in a timely manner.
* Must be able to use post‑production software, including Premiere Pro, Audition, AfterEffects and FrameIO
* Experience working with Lucid Link a huge plus.
* Knowledgeable or keen understanding about YouTube optimisation, SEO strategies, and platform algorithms.
* Organised and detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* A strong communicator, capable of working collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
* Passionate about storytelling, digital trends, and creating content that resonates with audiences.

Hours and Salary Range
This full‑time position offers a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
When not out on location, this role is office Based from our newly renovated premises in Bermondsey Street, London Bridge.
Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional travel or evening work required.
