We are looking for motivated and driven individuals with good values and a genuine interest in the care and support of Older People; with experience of care within a highly complex yet rewarding environment.
The successful candidate will undertake the keyworker role, which involves creating, monitoring, and reviewing care plans, keeping accurate records of support planning, and ensuring the service user is offered appropriate opportunities, experiences, and care within their care plan. The role also involves promoting access to local community opportunities and enabling individuals to continue living meaningful lives.
We provide ongoing care and support to vulnerable older people. Our services include care homes, respite, STAR unit, and day services.

The Person
1. Provide care and support that meets the Health and Social Care standards.
2. Work collaboratively with other Council services and partner agencies to support effective planning and delivery of care.
3. Work flexibly and creatively within a dynamic and ambitious team.
4. Work towards the required qualification as specified by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Once qualified, it is the individual's responsibility to inform the SSSC accordingly.
5. Achieve registration with the SSSC within 6 months of starting the role, applying within 3 months of employment. Maintain registration by obtaining the necessary qualifications, completing Continuous Professional Learning (CPL), and submitting annual declarations via MySSSC.
6. If you do not currently hold a benchmark qualification, registration will be granted conditionally, pending achievement of the qualification within the specified timeframe.
Note: The successful applicant must apply for SSSC registration within three months and start the process promptly to ensure registration within six months.
Additional Requirements: Obtain PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme prior to appointment.
