Pritchard Cowburn is looking for an Optical Assistant who thrives on variety and values the personal touch of independent practices. With a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality, personalised eye care in the heart of West Wales, we combine clinical excellence with a friendly, community-focused approach.

What we offer:

* Holidays – 33 days (including bank holidays)
* No current weekend work and bank holidays off
* Full time work pattern 9-5 (Monday-Friday) 37.5 hours

Key Responsibilities

* Customer Interaction: Greet patients and visitors professionally, providing an exceptional customer experience.
* Appointment Management: Schedule appointments, handle phone calls, and manage patient records.
* Administrative Tasks: Maintain high operational standards and assist with administrative duties.
* Eyewear Assistance: Assist the team in ensuring patients receive eyewear and accessories promptly, with a high level of service.
* Practice Support: Contribute to the smooth daily running of the practice and support the optometrists and optical dispensers.
* Flexibility: To travel to our Narberth practice to provide cover when required


Required Skills & Qualities

* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and colleagues.
* Customer Focus: A genuine passion for providing high-end customer care and ensuring patient satisfaction.
* Attention to Detail: Crucial for managing appointments, patient records, and ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
* Tech Savvy: Comfortable using modern technology for scheduling and practice management.
* Passion for Eyewear: An interest in fashion, styling, and quality eyewear is a significant asset.
