We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bath and North East Somerset C to assist with the appointment of a Registered Manager, on a 1.5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £20.51 - £27.04 per hour Summary: The Registered Manager will be responsible for the leadership, management, and delivery of high-quality residential and/or extra care services for older adults, including those with dementia, disabilities, and sensory impairments. This includes ensuring person-centred care, regulatory compliance (particularly with CQC standards), effective use of resources, and strong partnership working. The role demands strategic oversight as well as operational involvement, with a focus on continuous improvement and safeguarding. Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership to the care team, including Deputy Managers, Service Managers, and clinical leads. Promote a positive, person-centred culture that aligns with the Councils values. Ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery in line with CQC requirements. Oversee care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding, and medication management. Ensure compliance with CQC, Health and Safety legislation, and data protection laws. Requirements: Registered Care Manager Award or equivalent. Relevant health or social care qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 4, Social Work qualification, CMS). Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory/management role within adult care. Proven ability to manage staff performance, appraisals, and sickness absence. Experience of working with regulatory bodies, particularly CQC. Budget management and operational resource planning experience.
