Our Opportunity
Language is the heartbeat of our school. From the nuance of a Shakespearean sonnet to the fluidity of modern linguistics, we believe communication is the key to our students success. Are you a visionary leader ready to bridge the gap between English and MFL?
We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Director of Languages to lead and develop our provision across both Modern Foreign Languages and English. At The Academy, Selsey, we have strong teaching teams in both departments, with improving outcomes as we continue our journey towards excellence.
Following the successful internal promotion of our current Head of MFL, we are now looking to build future leadership capacity within the team, strengthening our provision and securing a sustainable leadership legacy.
The Role
This role is key to modelling excellent practice, supporting staff development, and driving continued improvement in outcomes across all language-based disciplines. You will act as a Master Teacher of English while providing the strategic oversight necessary to empower our MFL department.
