We are currently looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk / Credit Controller to join our ever-expanding company.

Phase Electrical Distributors Ltd is a leading independent electrical wholesaler with 7 branches across the South East and Kent, a distribution centre located in Bexhill, which also serves as the central hub for our Website operations and our ever growing Renewables Department. With over 20 years in the industry, we have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products and outstanding customer service to our customers. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a diligent and detail-focused Sales Ledger Clerk to join our head office finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Running daily sales figures

* Allocate incoming payments to customer accounts

* Proactively follow up on overdue payments and resolve queries

* Monitor and manage outstanding accounts to ensure timely payments

* Negotiate payment plans with customers when necessary

* Assist with month-end and year-end reporting

* Run aged debt reports and maintain an accurate record of credit control activities

* Running and sending monthly statements to customers

* Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies

* Provide general administrative support to the finance team

Requirements:

* Experience in Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage, but not essential as full training would be given

* Some understanding of financial procedures

* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and outlook

* Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

* A proactive and professional approach

* Confident telephone manner

* Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy

* Experience is preferred but not essential

* 31 days of annual leave, which includes 3 mandatory days to be taken during the Christmas and New Year period, and the 8 statutory bank holidays

Working hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Please be advised the listed starting salary is the National Living Wage for those aged 21 or over. Starting salary will be from the minimum wage appropriate for your age; however, this is negotiable depending on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £25,396.80 per year
