The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Sunday.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Medical Team at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. This post is responsible for the management and day to day running of the in-patient acute medical wards within one of the small teams. The AHP team work closely alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team, to facilitate patient flow throughout hospital admission and discharge back into the community. This position will include participation in a weekend rota as part of a wider team. Staff will receive days back in lieu to ensure appropriate rest and work-life balance.
Responsibilities
* Deliver quality, evidence-based Physiotherapy assessments and treatments.
* Be an effective team player with excellent communication skills and work with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient flow during admission and discharge.
* Contribute to the rotational induction and in-service training program.
* Involve in student education; teaching and educating skills are essential.
* Support the development of new services within the Medical AHP Team, contributing to audit and service evaluation where applicable.
* Participate in a weekend rota as part of the team, with days back in lieu as needed.
* On-call commitment to this position.
Qualifications and Experience
* Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy with current registration with the HCPC.
* Evidence of relevant post-graduate courses/CPD.
* PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check.
* Experience of audit and service evaluation is highly desirable.
