Responsibilities and Training

The team will deliver low-level mental health support in educational settings. The role involves travel to Edge Hill University for training. Details about the course can be found at: PGDip Education Mental Health Practitioner for Children and Young People.

Candidates must be able to start employment by Monday 5th January 2026 to commence the course. The training includes 6 modules focusing on skills such as working with children, caseload management, collaboration, and mental health issue identification and management in educational settings.

Post-Training Expectations

Upon successful completion, trainees will be qualified EMHPs, capable of working autonomously within their scope of practice alongside education colleagues.
