ROLE - Junior Design Engineer LOCATION- Cirencester TERM- Permanent SALARY- £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client specialises in fabrication for a range of industries, and they are looking to take on a Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the Cirencester area. They will consider Graduates for this vacancy too. The Junior Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment (Not a necessity) Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc. Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team Have the ability to carry out mechanical calculations Any previous experience of working with process machinery or steel / metal materials would be desirable Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proficient using MS Office Excellent organisational skills and time management skills The Junior Design Engineer role will involve: Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers Producing 3D designs using Autodesk Inventor CAD software and 2D designs with AutoCAD Liaising with manufacturing providers Being involved in final assembly of products Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans Updating 3D models and drawings Inputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMs Checking drawings for sign off Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
