Special Needs Teaching Assistant - KS1 (Full Time) Agency: Tempest Resourcing Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm Location: Greater Manchester Tempest Resourcing are recruiting for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support KS1 pupils with a range of additional needs, primarily Autism (ASC), including some non-verbal learners. This is a full-time role within a warm, nurturing school environment with small class sizes and a strong, supportive team. What the role involves: Supporting KS1 pupils with Autism and communication needs Working with both verbal and non-verbal children Providing targeted support inside and outside the classroom Engaging in a physically active and fast-paced school day Assisting with early learning goals - Early Years Curriculum knowledge preferred Helping to create a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment What we're looking for: Experience supporting children with additional needs (ASC essential) Confidence working with KS1 learners Ability to build strong, trusting relationships Patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach Someone who can adapt quickly and work as part of a team If you're passionate about supporting young learners with additional needs and want to join a fantastic SEND setting, we'd love to hear from you.
