Are you ready to use your teaching and learning leadership to inspire and support children who need education beyond the classroom?
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent full‑time English teacher within the Teaching and Learning Provision (TLP) at Battle to provide education for children too sick to attend school. This post includes a TLR 2 (£6,069 per annum) to lead the development of teaching and learning across Specialist Teaching Services, including TLP, Interim Provision Services, English as an Additional Needs Service and Sensory Needs. The role requires someone with significant teaching and learning leadership experience, who can shape the Specialist Teaching Services teaching and learning offer.
Responsibilities
* Proven ability to develop and implement whole service teaching and learning strategy
* Skilled in driving school/service improvement and raising standards across key stages
* Ability to translate vision into impactful practice and measurable outcomes
* Knowledge of effective pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment
* Skilled in monitoring quality of teaching (lesson observations, book reviews, data analysis)
* Understanding of inclusive practice, SEND, EHCPs, and adaptive teaching
* Commitment to equal opportunities, anti‑discriminatory practice and improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people

Requirements
This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services. If you have lived or worked abroad, an overseas police check is required.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the position is part‑time or term‑time only.
