About the Company:
Join a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Derby, working on major residential developments across the Midlands. Known for delivering high-quality infrastructure for new housing projects, the company is expanding its technical and support team to ensure smooth and timely adoptions of roads and sewers by local authorities.
Role Overview:
As an Adoptions Engineer / Coordinator, youll play a critical role in ensuring all documentation and technical submissions related to new development adoptions are completed accurately and efficiently. You'll work closely with the Engineering Manager and liaise with local councils to manage the successful adoption of roads and infrastructure on residential housing sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and submit adoption packs for roads and sewers (S38, S104, etc.)
* Liaise with local authorities to ensure compliance and approval of technical submissions.
* Track and manage the progress of adoptions across multiple housing developments.
* Maintain and organise detailed engineering documentation.
* Work closely with site teams, technical departments, and third-party consultants.
* Support the Engineering Manager in reporting and status updates.
Requirements:
* Experience in engineering documentation, adoptions coordination, or a related technical field.
* Knowledge of Section 38 and Section 104 agreements is highly desirable.
* Previous work with local councils or adoption bodies is an advantage.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail this is a paperwork-heavy role.
* Comfortable using MS Office and document management systems.
* Ideal for a Coordinator with technical experience or an Engineer looking to transition off-site.
