Department: Health & Safety Location: London, UK Description Health & Safety Advisor Jaguar Building Services are currently looking to recruit a competent Health & Safety Advisor to assist and complement the Health & Safety team. We are specialists in the operation and maintenance of complex building services systems. We promote a positive Health and Safety culture across our organisation, resulting in an excellent safety record. Our team are very approachable and have extensive experience within the building services industry. Location Based at our Head Office located in the City of London with a requirement to visit sites in Greater London. (Travel between sites will be paid for) Contract Permanent – 37.5 Hours per week (Monday to Fri 8:00am to 4:30pm) Please note: Some occasional weekend and evening work may be required. This additional work will be paid at an overtime rate of time and a half. Salary £40-45k Dependent on experience Leave Allowance 25 days per annum exclusive of bank holidays, rising with years of experience. Key Responsibilities • To be able to promote and maintain a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the company, whilst contributing to the company’s SHEQ commitments in both highlighting and promoting best practice. This generally includes assisting the Health & Safety department at both Head Office and across the company’s high-profile client portfolio, which consists of over 80 sites. • To monitor and review site performance through regular site inspections and audits. This includes creating site specific risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH assessments, as well as conducting DSE and noise assessments when necessary. • To be able to deliver detailed training sessions to site staff members on Health & Safety aspects that are vital to the company, such as Permit to Work training and Health & Safety Inductions for new starters. Candidate needs to be experienced in delivering training sessions to other staff members. • To ensure full implementation of the company’s accident reporting procedure, including assistance with completing accident and near miss forms. This will require the ability to liaise with external bodies, such as the HSE or external auditors.
