The Role:
As a member of the Leisure & Community Services Management Team the post holder will be required to:
1. Provide a business support service to manage the corporate governance of the Department. This includes the likes of audit, risk, performance, health and safety, finance and reports.
2. Manage and develop a high-quality service to the Council in support of the corporate plan and strategic work plans.
3. To operate in a dynamic and changing environment, recommending creative solutions to project issues and challenges, and provide professional advice and assistance on innovative business and administrative practices.
Hours of work: 37 hours
Requirements:
It is essential that applicants have a minimum of:
A third level qualification (for example, an HNC, HND, NVQ Level 4, Degree) or equivalent in an appropriate discipline eg Financial Management, Accountancy, Business administration, etc.
A minimum of four years' relevant middle management experience in the following areas of responsibility:
4. Production of financial reports/information
5. Managing and developing financial controls/administrative systems and processes.
6. Managing and developing budgetary control systems.
7. Managing and developing performance management systems and processes.
8. Development of operational business plans
9. Line Management
Where applicants do not hold the qualifications as outlined in above, they must demonstrate a minimum of seven years' experience as outlined in above.
