Software Standardization & Industry Development Engineer (Contractor)

We are seeking a passionate Software Standardization and Industry Development Engineer to join our Europe Consumer Business Group (EU-SID CBG). In this role, you will shape the future of software ecosystems by participating in global standards bodies, promoting open source technologies, and driving the development of next-generation mobile and intelligent applications.
You will work at the forefront of innovation across programming languages, mobile operating systems, AI algorithms, web technologies, intelligent car connectivity, and open source ecosystems.
ECMA, W3C, OCX ), focusing on mobile OS, open source, and emerging software technologies.
Contribute to the evolution of software standards and technologies (e.g., Analyze and report on new software technologies, regulatory developments, and policy trends, with a focus on European regulations (e.g., DMA, DSA ) impacting the software ecosystem.
Promote innovative pilots and partnerships with European tech partners and academic institutions using Huawei’s software technologies.
Support project management, internal coordination, and budgeting activities within the EU-SID CBG team.
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong understanding of programming languages, mobile application development (Android/iOS/HarmonyOS), and the software development lifecycle.
Familiarity with software core technologies such as operating systems, middleware, and AI frameworks.
ECMA, W3C, ISO) or contributions to open source projects preferred.
Research and Analysis Skills: Ability to produce clear, insightful reports on technical trends, regulatory impacts, and technology policy.
Strong presentation and communication skills in English. Languages:
English : Mandarin Chinese : Experience in privacy, cybersecurity, or AI/machine learning technologies is a plus.
